Press release | Burning Amp 2025 is right around the corner on October 4th and 5th. For those that may not know, The Burning Amplifier Festival - BAF started in 2007, and it is one of the largest gatherings for all lovers of DIY.It will be held at the same venue as last year, the Petaluma Community Center. We have a fantastic list of events and presentations scheduled that appeal to DIYers of all levels and interests. There will be build camps, a speaker measurement camp, expert presenters, and the incredibly popular raffle and auction.See What's Cooking in the BAF 2025 Discussion Thread! We heard loud and clear how much you all love the build camps, but there were rarely enough spots for everyone. This year, we’ve purchased more equipment and tools, we’ve dedicated more space, and we are planning to run two parallel build camps. One group of DIYers will build a unique power JFET headphone amp / preamp, and another group of builders will be building a new and novel speaker amplifier. Both projects come from the mind of Nelson Pass and are sure to put ‘smiles on dials’.If you’ve ever wanted to gain a better understanding of how to properly measure the anechoic response of a speaker in a room, don’t miss the speaker measurement camp led by Scott Hinson. One of the best aspects of Burning Amp is seeing – and listening to – everyone’s creations. As usual, you are invited to bring your project to Burning Amp. For those that want to share their project, there will be space for you along with other DIYers’ equipment to pair with your project, if needed.Details are being finalized. The BAF website will have the latest information about the final schedule, camps, events, presentations, location, lodging, dining options, virtual attendance, and pricing.
