New Valkyria and Pulsar headphones models from Spirit Torino

Press release | Spirit Torino unveiled a groundbreaking technological innovation that radically elevates headphone performance. The new Valkyria and Pulsar models debut today, powered by the Ventilation Pad System 4.0 and a re-engineered driver configuration that sets a new benchmark for flagship headphones. The Spirit R&D team pursued three ambitious goals:

• delivering an expansive, three-dimensional soundstage
• extending frequency response deep into the sub-bass range
• ensuring effortless synergy with tube amplifiers

Ventilation Pad System 4.0 plus driver configuration choices and advantages
 
Extended three-dimensional soundstage through:

• the creation of two independent acoustic chambers, which communicate via two ventilation holes, where the ventilation holes are partially covered with acoustic felt
• the use of a new expansion chamber without acoustic foam, optimizing the balance between the Alcantara pad’s absorbing surfaces and the complex geometries of the acoustic chamber

Closing the ventilation holes of the second driver to modify the “mechanical quality factor,” i.e., the mechanical resistance to movement. The resonance frequency of the Twin Pulse system has shifted, resulting in an extended frequency response in the sub-bass range.

 

Improvement of the pad attachment system.
 
The modification of the Twin Pulse Isobaric System® has made Valkyria and Pulsar easier to drive with tube amplifiers.
